The process for grinding our corn products is depicted in this chart. The three principle operations are color coded to show the multiple passes through each, depending on the product desired.
The grinder is adjustable to control the maximum size dispensed. The sifter is preset for two different max sizes, although a third size (smaller) is available for limited production runs.
The separator is a finishing operation to remove light weight material, such as bran particles, from the final product.
